Application ProcessMinor grants (maximum £1,000) may be considered throughout the year.
Additionally, there will be a grant meeting in March to consider bids under £10,000 followed by a major grant meeting in
September to consider bids up to £100,000. The Next Stage Following receipt of your application with a signed letter from the Charity's chairman or treasurer, an initial eligibility check will be undertaken on all applications received by the Trust’s Administrator, followed by a second review by one of the other trustees. Information relating to all applications that pass the initial check will be passed to the trustees for their review and a number of applications will be shortlisted. Applications that do not meet the published criteria or have not followed the published guidelines will be rejected outright. If you require acknowledgment that your application has been received and is being considered, we would appreciate a stamped addressed envelope or an email address so that we can let you know. Please also enclose details of to whom the cheque should be made payable. In some cases, charities will be asked to submit further information to clarify certain aspects of their proposal. If this is the case, you will be contacted by the Trust’s Administrator in advance of the meeting date and a short and specific timetable will be agreed with you to enable your application to progress to the trustees’ grant meeting. Where significant further information is required, charities will be offered the opportunity to defer their submission of their completed application until another meeting to give more time to prepare the information required to provide them with the greatest opportunity to be successful in accessing funds. In some cases it may be necessary for Trustees to visit applicants to discuss the applicants’ proposal and the Administrator will contact you to arrange a suitable time. We aim to provide an efficient and transparent grant-making process. Summary Provide a brief summary of the proposal which could be used in publicity material to sum up your funding request. Detailed Proposal (No more than 2 pages long)

When Can You Reapply? You may reapply after one year. We will not accept applications from charities who have applied in the previous twelve months, whether they have been successful or not.
It is the aim of the trustees to keep administration costs to a minimum so that we can help as many causes as possible. It would help us considerably if you could enclose six copies of your application, together with enclosures. We do not expect glossy reports, just the minimum enclosures to support your application. We hope that you understand. Please also bear in mind that this is a ‘Time’ charity which cannot offer continuation funding. Check List Please take a moment to check that you have enclosed all the necessary information.
Failure to enclose all relevant information as per the 'check list', will result in an outright rejection.
